The Counter-Strike touney this time was all about CS 1.6 and teams of 4. We tried to get CS:Source up and running for the tourney but steam was a pain in the ass, and a few people didn't even have it. Still at least we all know CS 1.6 and it runs on anything. Dave is with-holding the scores from me at the moment, the world shouldn't know how bad the SL staff are at CS! If you were there you will know one team dominated: Moogle (Winner at summer lan also!), Excalibur, Wipeout and Dentist. No hope for the rest of us. Definatly will be going back to the more fun knockout style of previous LANs next time.

On the tourney subject we also had a very contraversial Unreal Tournement (yes the original!) Last Man Standing match. The game started with close to 20 players, each with 30 lives. The plan: kill and not be killed. UT was instantly turned into a campers playground with very unothodox tactics such hiding, sniping and running away! After a close battle Gore beat Moogle to the top stop to claim a lovely roast meal along with the CS winners.

We were lucky enough to enjoy the company of Noodleman at this LAN; PC building extraordinaire, dance mat fanatic and general trouble-maker :p Check out the pics of his well constructed shuttle.

You'll also notice the staff were sporting our fancy new orange ShinyLAN t-shirts. Long may bright colours rule!

I've got some lovely vids on their way here soon, just gotta get em Divxed for ya. Prawn Crackers anyone?

More to come...
