22nd - 25th. The time for early payment has passed, so its £30.
Hopefully the weather will support a meaty BBQ, otherwise we might try to cook something up in the kitchen instead.

SL10.3 - Signup now live
My dearest LAN-goers!
The ShinyLAN Christmas LAN 2010 is now confirmed and will be taking place 17:00 Sunday 26th December - 17:00 Tuesday 28th December 2010. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, it is a shorter than usual 48 hour event, thus giving you more time to spend your Christmas holidays with family (and a more valid excuse to get away from them!).
The cost of this delight couple of days will be a cheaper than usual £15 for advance payment (more than 30 days before the event), increasing to £20 for the last 30 days or £25 on the door. Please note that as its not really BBQ weather, the staff have decided to cook everyone a Christmas Dinner on the Saturday night in the form of a chilli, this will be served in the side room and is free to anyone that wants it. If its minging, I apologize in advance but it will at least keep those winter chills at bay ;)
Seems most people would like to take the Monday regardless of the non-bank holiday, so the dates suggested below have stuck.

Right, got Summer dates but it's not the usual August bank holiday unfortunately.

Despite the fact that I was slow to get this one on, as usual, you've still got more than 3 months to sort yourselves out for SL09.2.

Similar to one of our recent LANs, this LAN does NOT fall on a bank holiday - we had no choice - but we've still booked that Monday for our finishing day, so please make an effort to book that monday off work.
We need as much support this time as possible - funds are running low after the expendature of 2008 and we'd REALLY like to keep this years' Christmas LAN over 48 hours.

ShinyLAN 2009 dates are in the works...
We're making arrangements for 2009. Easter is almost sorted and details will appear shortly.
Summer and Christmas are a little more tricky. The only dates we have for summer this time do not include a bank holiday for the long weekend,
so if want to go 72 hours, we'll all need to put some effort in and book any necessary time off.
And perhaps use the conveniantly arranged poll here so I know there's enough support.
The Christmas situation is rather similar; we have the usual period, but unless we have good support at Easter and summer,
we my not be able to afford a long LAN for only 20 people :/ Another poll is up so you can indicate your preferred 48 hour period
should we feel it necessary not to over-indulge this year...

SL08.3 - Christmas ShinyLAN 2008 - signup now live!
Another reasonably successful attempt to get the signup for a LAN live several months before the event.
Friday 26th to Monday 29th December 2008
This LAN will have to stop SLIGHT short (4 hours) at 12 noon on the monday because someone wants to shoot a bow and arrow about the place that evening and the place will obviously be a dump after you kids have torn it up.
72 hours again, meaning the advance price will be £30, with a reduction to £25 for those who pay at least 30 days before the event.

Historically Easter LANs are our biggest so we hope for a good turn out. As such we have booked out a full 72 hours - perhaps we'll have more time for Supreme Commander, and if we're really lucky Dave might build some stuff...
